Travel and Training Allowance

Students may be eligible for a Travel Allowance for the cost of travel and those eligible over 18 may be entitled to the Community Wage Training Allowance.

 

Secondary School Connection and the Gateway and STARs Programme

Ag Challenge Limited run Automotive, Carpentry, Agriculture and Veterinary Nursing STARs programmes in conjunction with local schools. Students that complete Unit Standards at this level receive an excellent head start towards gaining a National Certificate in the field of their choice and can continue on with one of our full time programmes. Ag Challenge Limited are always happy to hear from schools that wish to set up STARs programmes and any students that are interested should visit their school’s careers officer to see if programmes are available.

Student Support Services

Reading, writing and mathematical assistance is always available and students are well supported to help achieve success. All programmes incorporate foundation skills, i.e. Banking, budgeting, cooking etc.

Theory notes are given out at each class and can be kept for future reference. CV’s are also prepared for all students.

Ag Challenge Limited aims to develop skills and educate people for employment. When you train with us towards a nationally recognised qualification, you take a step towards a brighter future.
