Construction/Building Training in Wanganui

National Certificate Building Construction and Allied Trade Skills (Level 1- 2)

Take your first step towards a career in the building sector. This pre-apprentice training gives you the chance to gain a National Qualification and experience the industry first hand. Tuition is in hand tool and portable electric tool use, house framing, residential fence and deck construction, building calculations and concrete work.

FULLTIME COURSE if you are under 18 - (Limited spaces, students may start at any time of the year).

FULLTIME COURSE if you are over 18 (Limited spaces). You need to be on a Work and Income benefit to qualify for this training.

Level 3-4

On the job training for both theory and practical components at a pace that works for you.Combining classroom and on-site learning through building removable homes, and can offer additional support to the self-paced learning option. A one year programme completed through on site classroom focused on the theory, followed by on-site practical learning.
